Antonis Theodorou received his Diplom Ingenieur degree (MS) in naval architecture from the Technical University (TU) of Berlin. While in Germany, he completed a student internship at the Flensburg Shipyards and was a tutor in machine design at TU Berlin. He later earned his MBA from the University of Chicago's Executive Program.

He began his career as a mechanical engineer in the machine-tool industry, where he rapidly advanced to executive-level positions. Theodorou was instrumental in designing and developing many capital-equipment projects for various industries around the world. His projects have involved:

• sophisticated CNC machine-tool and automation systems for gear manufacturing,
• metal grinding, and
• woodworking processes.

One of his particular strengths is increasing productivity by leveraging systematic, positive changes in manufacturing and business processes.

Over the years, he has developed many unique machines, mechanisms, and structures. He presently holds two patents, and several additional applications are pending.

In February 1996, Theodorou founded AristoTechnics, Inc. He remains extremely interested in the machine-tool industry, and continues to provide consulting for selected companies in this industry.

Theodorou speaks fluent English, German, and Greek. He also is a trained carpenter, a trade he learned from assisting his father for many years in their family carpentry business.
